Intro
As with the race model, this binding features a unique front spring mech, which requires you to press down on the lever to insert the boot. It’s pretty easy to use and solves the difficulties inherent in toe pin systems. On top of this, the system holds the jaws apart and lets them work slightly independently, which allows for better stress absorption and prevents pre-releases. The heel features the same very practical snap-flap system as the race version that parks the brake when touring, and is super-easy to use. You have to select your release values at the time of purchase: 5-7, 7-9 or 9-11. The pre-set front lever strength also means you don’t have to lock out the toe in touring mode, with benefits in terms of avalanche safety.
