Intro
Elan has a long tradition of making skimo skis, and their Ripstick Tour, in particular, is the core of the Slovenian brand's selection for backcountry skiers. It's positioned midway between the lightweight Lynx and the freeride Ripstick, inheriting some of the Ripstick's philosophy while losing some of its weight. Alongside the 88 tested, there are also a 94 and a 104, but the 104 doesn't come in a version for women. The carbon-reinforced construction focuses on skiability and solidity. The shape of the two skis is asymmetrical, so everything we said for the version for men applies here, too.
