Intro
Very light, functional and easy to use high-end touring binding. The toepiece is very well engineered and the lever features a dual pivot point which optimizes positioning. Heelpiece design is ingenious because it takes the basic ATK brake and further optimizes it so even less experienced tourers can operate brake and risers quickly and effortlessly. Two pairs of holes in the heel adjustment track and toe mounting plate sit wider apart to optimize mounting on wider skis.
Fit
We'll start by highlighting an accessory whose importance often gets overlooked: the brake. Its strong spring, long arms, and plastic end-feet make it highly effective and easy to deploy. These could seem minor details, but they can ultimately determine the success—or failure—of your mission. With most boots, you’ll immediately notice the binding has a decidedly modern drop. It offers the functionality of a higher-performance binding, but would make a solid choice for less expert tourers too, due to its ease of use. The two climbing aids offer a good range of heights.
