Intro
This is reference model for die-hard purists of the light philosophy, for which an essential form and clean lines are paramount. From this season, it comes only in the Plus version with metal heel riser flaps. The Speed toe, with the wider rear drill hole pattern also makes its debut, making this suitable for skis with around 100 mm waists. The heel uses the Cam Release System (which protects against lateral rotation and twisting of the pins when driving the boot hard on edge, making it an ideal set-up with modern lightweight boots), and is mounted on a 30 mm adjustment slider track. The brake comes as an optional extra (R15.XXX).
Fit
We already thought this was a perfect binding, and its light weight was just the last of the qualities we liked about it. Since last year, a second heel riser flap has been added, which really helps with boots with less ROM. For this season, the real gear geeks (like us) will be pleased to find the new Speed toe, which, in addition to being bomb proof, also sports the same look at basically the same weight. For demanding skiers who pay close attention to ramp angles, with a very low drop and super-precise and stable base mounted on the R01 metal slider track. A perfect model for lovers of leashless, brakeless bindings (though we’re not allowed to say that here...).
