    Intro
"Less is more" is the philosophy behind this light binding, with a toe piece similar to that of the SL World Cup (with the addition of a crampon slot) and heel piece with Cam Release System mounted on a 30 mm adjustment track. It differs from the traditional HR model thanks to two new magnetic flaps as climbing aids. The heel unit with Cam Release System stands up to lateral rotation and pin torsion when transferring power from the boot to the ski edge. Paired with light skis it makes a formidable setup, thanks in part to the low ramp angle. The brake comes as an optional extra (R15.XXX).

    Fit
What can we say about this race-inspired ATK toe piece? The pins are easy to line up and entry is pretty smooth. The Cam Release System guarantees soft entry in the heel piece, facilitating transitions on soft snow and with hard settings. The toe piece is as sturdy as the SL World Cup, yet simple; one toe arm has two springs, one is fixed. The difference with the tried and tested HR, which all light tourers will have heard of by now, is the use of two magnetic flaps as climbing aids that are easy to use even with gloves on, providing 2-3 mm extra height. Here too, you need to rotate the tower to set it to flat mode. When it comes down to it, this is an ideal choice for avid uphillers, even on steep climbs, who are looking for better downhill performance than you get with a race binding.
