Intro
This employs a similar in design to the DNA, but is less extreme. Ideal for light-and-fast missions and perhaps less demanding races. The similarities are evident not only in the form, but also in the function of the brake (optional here, but there’s also a + version which includes it as a standard), which is connected to the climbing aid. The weight difference is about thirty grams, and brakes are available in 68 mm, 74 mm and 80 mm widths. The lightweight structure features aluminum elements machined from solid blocks, such as the toe jaws and hollow heel. The U-spring, unlike the DNA, has a rounded cross section and release settings are adjustable.
Fit
The ability to adjust release values at the heel are a valuable asset when racing as well as leisure touring, adding safety and peace of mind, although anything above the bare minimum weights and dimensions found in the race world and the forces involved change. Each toe jaw employs just one single spring, but the binding still feels nice and snappy and energetic, and the extra long lever makes the jaws easy to open.
