Intro
Last year, it was an all-new ski for Ski Trab, with a nod to freetouring. Now it can be said that Neve is a mature design, and we can see a wider sibling on the horizon, a sign that the Bormio brand believes in a product that is being well received by Ski Trab enthusiasts new and old. A progressive tip rocker, balanced shape and the brand's trademark 14 layers are paired with an elastomer designed to absorb vibration in both the tip and the tail. All of which is packaged in attractive graphics.

On the snow
Is it a Trab ski? It's a valid question, because it feels different from your typical Ski Trab ski, especially when you point the tips down the mountain. We especially liked the exit from turns, where the powerfully responsive tip and waist give some nice pop. With the right rhythm and just a bit of adaptation, it gives you a playful yet easy ski. Starting the turn, on the other hand, takes a bit of effort, because the soft tip tends to twist and bend. You get the same feeling in deep snow, where the tip bends a lot and keeps you from gaining speed or widening your turn radius. It makes it through hard terrain and chop without issues, but you need to be strong and in shape to hold your line. It can also be used on steep slopes, so long as you've picked the right size. It's well balanced for the ascent, and we love the tip and tail skin connector. In that, it truly is a Trab.
