A Tour-sized ski with a Freeride soul. Adding this model to the Lady category was a no-brainer. Weighing in at 1.6 kg in the 162 and 1.8 kg in the 178, just confirms what we already knew, this ski defies categorization

Intro
After a year's absence in the Buyer's Guide Lady category, Dynastar is back with a powerful—and surprising—ski. The M-Pro is the all-mountain line for hard chargers, available in three widths: 98, 92 and 85. We tried out the 92, which despite being a Tour-sized ski, has a Freeride soul. Adding this model to the Lady category was a no-brainer. Weighing in at 1.6 kg in the 162 and 1.8 kg in the 178, just confirms what we already knew, this ski defies categorization. Unlike the other all-mountain line, the M-Cross W, this model has a shallower sidecut and a wide, stable shovel.
On the snow
Powerful, stable, tough—the Dynastar M-Pro W 92 is a revelation right out of the gate. This ski commands respect—someone even compared it to an iron girder—but as soon as it hits the snow you realize that it's easier to drive than you'd think. Responsive when entering a turn and super stable at high speeds, if you're a strong skier who lives to charge you'll instantly be won over. The double layer of titanal is incredibly effective on tricky terrain, damping chatter and daring you to test your limits. In heavy powder it floats easily, and on piste it holds up against narrower skis. The high rocker at the tip makes itself felt in ascent, but nothing that would stop you using it. With this ski you're better off with a longer length; the shorter model loses some of that big mountain feel. A pro-level ski that you can "shred like a mofo, no problem".
Lab
Base almost flat, needing six passes through the machine, with a coarse structure and some wax. Good edges 1.9 x 1.7 mm at 88.5°, base bevel 0.8°. Some rust, sharpness ok. Needs a little work, but not bad overall.
