Inspired by North American all-mountain skiing, this model is for those on a never-ending quest to find new lines, even when the conditions are less than perfect. The Maven 94 is the most versatile of Atomic's women's skis, designed for skiers who skip from groomers to powder stashes. Lightweight yet responsive, smooth yet strong, the OMatic construction (poplar, fiberglass and carbon inserts) helps to balance flexibility and stability. The Flow profile, featuring a rockered tip and tail and HRZN tech, aids turn entry and guarantees float. Versatile and intuitive, this ski has an adventurous heart.
On the snow
Appearances can be deceptive; beneath the cool exterior the Maven 94 W is full of personality. On hardpack it can seem a little rebellious, turn entry requires focus and precision, otherwise it tends to forge its own path. But head off the marked runs and it'll soon reveal its true colors. On powder, crust or heavy snow the Maven 94 becomes playful, intuitive and surprisingly stable considering the width. The flat shovel slices through crust like a knife through butter, while the solid construction instills confidence even on the most challenging terrain. Not a ski for everyone, but an exciting option for anyone who loves freeride and knows how to adapt. The fact that its sibling, the Maven 103, can be found at the feet of Freeride World Tour athletes, says a lot. Also great for anyone looking to try a wider ski, but still wants control and versatility.
