Intro
Ogso's product catalog includes two families of ski, the Super Rocker, which comes in both carbon-fiber and fiberglass versions, and the Neoteric, also available in the two versions. The Super Rocker family is designed for soft snow and fun, while the Neoteric family are more versatile skis suited for variable conditions and traditional alpine terrain. The underlying philosophy of this ski is to create a ski that won't wear you out after a long day on the snow, so it's lightweight and good for the ascent.
On the snow
The brand's playful character is evident in the Thor 90. When you put it on, you immediately notice the almost exaggerated amount of tip rocker compared to a ski's traditional dimensions. You also notice the limited edge contact. It's definitely an intuitive ski that won't take any getting used to. Just put it on and go. The tip always stays out of powder, which helps a lot at slow speeds, but it doesn't allow the ski to glide. It maintains an ideal speed for newcomers to this realm who are looking for ski that will give them confidence without wearing them out. Refrozen snow, chop and technical terrain call for more traditional construction and geometry, so here the Thor struggles and you need to ski with the brakes on.

Irregular base, from convex to flat to concave, that can't be completely repaired after 8 runs through the tuning machine. Overlapping patterns, not waxed. Decent edges, 1.8 x 1.9 mm at 93° (an inconsistent value), base edge more than 2°. Tuning essential.
