Intro
The Fast series debuted in winter 2023-24, but it's actually just a collection of the widest skis from the Race Pro series, the 71, 77 and 85 mm models; a new segment that sits between the race and light Alp Tracks skis for high-performance use and lots of vertical. It's intended for expert skiers, and those with a racing background, who are looking for a fun, extremely lightweight ski.
On the snow
A lively, lightweight ski. It has a rigid construction, and its geometry — with a flat, low tip and barely tapered tail — lends a hand. This is a ski for experts (from a high-intermediate level) looking for minimum weight in order go farther on the climb. Despite the light weight, it holds its own on the descent thanks to the carbon-fiber laminate, which give it pop and let you feel the terrain. You need to stay over the ski and know how to guide it. This calls for sensitivity, leg speed, and smooth control. A little strength is needed to keep the tip afloat in powder. It flows well through chop and grips hard snow, even at higher speeds. But you always need to feel the ski, or it might slip out from under you. Skiers with a solid technique, including those used to groomers, will like it, keeping it light in ascent and letting rip in descent. Alternatively, it'll suit racers transitioning away from competition.
