Intro
Continuing the success of last season, this once again is a benchmark for skimo enthusiasts looking for an easy ski that even newcomers to ski mountaineering can enjoy. Its honeycomb Air Tip technology and Central Dualtec construction (a combination of sandwich and cap construction) reduce weight at the tip to concentrate it at the waist, for increased float and handling. At the same time, it holds its own even on packed snow.
On the snow
Soft, lightweight and easy to ride, this ski is great for both beginners and more advanced skiers looking for a lightweight ski for classical skimo or even for a haute route that isn't overly technical. Well liked for its ease of use and lightweight feel, it's well-balanced at the waist, making it excellent for long climbs. It also performs well on wet snow or powder. But because of its ultra-light weight, it tends to slap on packed snow or crust and can be hard to handle, especially at high speeds. The ample tip makes it easy to turn, and the ski floats well for the width it has at the waist. Ideal for traditional carving at moderate speeds. The ski that anyone would enjoy for starting out and developing some skill, giving you maximum performance at minimal cost.
