    Intro
We've said it before, if it ain't broke… The women's Zero G Peak did well last year and this year too has made a positive impression, despite not being a boot for everyone. Designed for technical skiers able to control it with no problem, especially in descent.

    Walking
The cuff rotation is impressive, among the best of the tested boots. The ROM is comparable to that of a race boot, but the comfort is that of a tour. No mean feat when you're trying to make a lightweight piece of equipment designed for skiers chasing big verticals on challenging terrain. The dual-density Vibram sole makes you feel safe and has a cushioning effect that facilitates the stride.

    Lab
The liner is pretty nifty; despite the minimalist feel it is comfortable and adapts even to tricky feet, and it can also be heat molded for an even better fit. Entry and exit are quick and easy. The only thing to note is that the ladder on the lower buckle could create a little friction for a high instep. The buckles are easy to regulate, as is the ski/walk mechanism.

    Skiing
The perceived flex is stiff; it's a highly reactive boot requiring a good skier and it won't tolerate distraction. Progressive and sensitive, it provides lightning-fast power transfer. Once the ski mechanism is closed the heel stays locked in position. There is a little more room up front compared to the F1, for those who, on balance, prefer a little more comfort even at the expense of precision. The ankle is held firm and when leaning forward on the cuff the Power Lock comes into its own; there is no bulging or movement, thanks also to the reinforced tongue. It finds the edge immediately and maintains excellent torsional stability thanks to the bi-directional carbon fiber plate in the sole.
