    Intro
The Unlimited series is big news at Nordica HQ: a line of lightweight freetour boots, with both men's and women's versions, designed to be an all-rounder. The focus on sustainability means that each and every part of the Unlimited boot is 100% recyclable and reusable. To be combined with the prizewinning skis of the same name.

    Walking
Despite the limitations of this type of boot, it offers a fluid stride and is above average for the category, and better than previous models by Nordica. It fits well, though higher in volume than the old models it still reflects the brand's tight fit. The use of GripWalk, as with other models, doesn't offer a great deal of stability on rocky or mixed terrain, but the compatibility with all types of crampons resolves the problem in difficult situations.

    Lab
The four alpine-style buckles, use of triple-injection soft plastics (Grilamid) that distribute rigidity and keep the weight down at the right points, and the 65° range of motion of the cuff, place it in a hybrid segment for all kinds of use. It's easy to slip on and comfortable, with no pressure points. The lower buckles are connected by a wire, making it difficult to differentiate the regulation between the forefoot and instep.

    Skiing
The Unlimited is reasonably precise and reactive. It bolsters confidence going into and coming out of turns and offers good support as long as it isn't driven too hard or by a heavy, aggressive skier, in which case it deforms and bulges. It's easy to figure out, and once properly adjusted, it keeps your foot firmly in place and provides rapid power transfer to the ski. It holds well on the diagonal and on piste it works well with medium-large skis. It could be stiffer for pro skiers but is a good starting point.
