Intro
Women2Women is a project focused on creating equipment for female skiers who know what they want and how to get it. From freeride to light touring, Women2Women models are available in all categories, including the Zero G. It's been around for a few years now, but remains a solid choice for skiers looking for performance and stability. Light and skinny, it's perfect in ascent, but still holds up in descent. Its versatile sidecut means precise carving, the paulownia core gives it firm edge hold and the carbon reinforcements are one of the brand's hallmarks. This is a true classic that never goes out of style.
On the snow
This ski is pretty... intense. Compared to its male counterpart, it's decidedly more forgiving and less stiff, but retains its powerful feel. Overall it's pretty intuitive, even if to get the most from it you need to put the work in. It carves beautifully and responds well on all types of snow and terrain. Stability is its middle name. And that's down to the Trueblend Woodcore; the extra density underfoot guarantees optimal support, while the softer tip copies the terrain and makes it fun to ski. The Carbon Drive 3.0 aids edge grip without increasing stiffness. This could be a solid choice for a good skier on long missions with lots of vertical and challenging descents, including on steep, technical terrain. For skiers without the strength to handle a ski like this, there's the Zero G 84 Approach, a calmer alternative and gateway into the Zero G universe.
Lab
Extremely concave (as it has been for years), impossible to flatten after ten passes through the machine. It's been ground but there's no structure or wax. Thin edges 1.4 x 1.4 mm at 89°, no base edge bevel. Too sharp, lots of rust; it absolutely needs tuning but there won't be much left afterwards.
