Intro
Heir to the Escaper 87 Nano, which we tested last year, it's basically the same ski but with a few minor modifications to the shape. Easy, fun and reassuring, it has the feel of a freeride ski that we first saw with the Seek 7 then the Blackops Alpineer, with a light yet substantial shovel with a honeycomb construction and tapered tail to make life easier and just that little bit more fun. Versatile to its core, it floats well, facilitates initiating and rounding out turns, and changing radius, and rewards edge contact on hard snow. It strikes the right balance between weight and downhill performance for relaxed descents. The series also includes the Escaper 80, 87, 97 Nano and 105 Nano.
