Intro
Handmade in the USA, this ski is the perfect winter companion for long, powder-heavy touring days. Built to navigate all kinds of terrain, the price might raise some eyebrows, but you get what you pay for. The Pagoda really responds to the conditions so you can have fun no matter what. The unconventional rocker profile helps with this, no matter the time of year or where in the world you find yourself. It’s a little heavier than most, but that’s a plus for downhill performance, where you really start to notice the Carbon Flax Construction.
On the snow
Right from the first turn, this ski was easy and fun for all testers. It’s suitable for all abilities but particularly more advanced skiers who can drive the ski a bit more. Controlled on both short and long radius turns, it easily adapts to all kinds of terrain. With little base contact on the snow, you’ll need to size up compared to a more traditional light ski. The DPS is known for its large, powder-friendly rocker, which for old-school ski tourers, could take a little getting used to. Our testers confirmed the Pagoda was able to deftly handle fresh snow with a little wind-blown crust. The Pagoda Tour fits the Light category, but its weight may put off more summit-oriented skiers.
