Intro
A Blacklight through and through, but with a 50 mm adjustment range for the heel piece and a brake as standard. Otherwise, everything said about the Blacklight applies here. It's one of the most robust, solid bindings of the lot, starting with the contoured, oversized toe wings; it copes well with knocks and overloading. Designed for hassle-free use with touring skis, even for newbies, who will be won over by its user-friendly toe piece lever and climbing aids designed to be used with the basket of your ski pole.
Fit
A special mention goes to the two guides under the pins in the toe arms; they help to keep the boot in place and click in at the first go for foolproof entry. Clicking into the heel unit takes a little more oomph. The lever and heel piece are fairly abrupt in their movements, which you can also feel in the climbing aids, especially if your pole baskets are soft; on the other hand they are firm and precise. To use flat mode, you need to rotate the heel tower 90° (considering its lateral bulk), while if you rotate it 180° you can use the highest two modes, the first is perfect for touring, the second is more for freeride.
