Intro
A classic from Völkl, designed for old-school skimo but with a touch of new school in terms of its dimensions. It has a Paulownia core at the waist and poplar at tip and tail, combined with fiberglass and carbon fiber. The ski sports a straight tail and just the right amount of tip rocker. Very lightweight underfoot, it's excellent for long ascents and traverses, even on challenging terrain, given its stiff construction. It's easy and intuitive on the descent, so it's also suited to newcomers to ski mountaineering who aren't super technically skilled on hard terrain or at high speeds. Recommended for anyone looking to broaden their horizons beyond lightweight skis.
