Intro
Rossignol's Alltrack lineup has been completely redesigned with eye-catching new colors, updated technologies, and a whole host of new models. The key focus of this new project has been to improve fit and touring comfort, with the inclusion of a new step-in concept with three different ski/walk modes. The bi-injected spoiler and new rear steel joint bracket increase stiffness and enhance support.

Walking
Very easy to put on even when not in foot entry mode. Extremely comfortable and forgiving fit. The sole is wide: just buckle up in the morning and leave them closed until its après-ski time. Ideal if you have large feet or only ski a few days a year and want something comfortable. Limited range of motion, but ideal for freeride-style skinning. Ideal for resort use, less demanding climbs, better with burlier hybrid bindings, not recommended with super-lightweight pin bindings.
Lab
Four ergonomic micro-adjust buckles, Alpine style, relatively easy to open with gloves. The ski/walk mech is well integrated into the boot and offers three modes: one for foot entry—which we found was unnecessary—one for skiing, which works ok, and one for touring, which unfortunately tends to revert back to the ski setting on its own. Very well-crafted liner, with strong optional laces and a fragile hook connecting it to the shell. Skinny booster.
Skiing
Despite its stated 130 flex, there’s no way they’re that stiff, good skiers will immediately notice the lack of support. If you’re a hard charger who puts serious power into your skis, expect noticeable torsional distortion—compromising lateral precision, especially with wider skis. Excellent if you’re new to off-piste skiing: for total beginners there are also softer flex levels, but in general there’s no risk of getting something too stiff. There’s also a bit of play between shin, ankle and cuff—ideal if you have big calves and don't go in for powerful off-balance moves.
