Intro
This model is brand new for 2026—an unexpected addition to the Polish ski maker's freeride touring collection, given the existence of the Havoc 110 Carbon, which is just 2 mm wider underfoot. However, the two are designed for different types of use. The new Vanguard has a generous rocker at the tail, the only one in the range with this feature. The complex construction uses kevlar and plenty of carbon, with four different turn radiuses, making this a playful ski for big adventures.
On the snow
The total lack of camber makes for effortless maneuverability and easy pivoting. And the light weight means you can take it out on medium-long ascents, though we don't recommend a tech binding due to the stiff flex. Best opt for a hybrid for an even flex throughout the length of the ski. The rockered tail facilitates a more modern technique, for skiers who like to play around with balance, but that doesn't make this a new-school ski. More of a crossover between the old and new styles, perhaps more suited to somebody with an alpine ski background. It floats pretty well, though not as well as you'd expect for a ski of this width, but it does help steering at slow speeds for improving freeriders. Steer clear of hard, icy terrain at all costs, where this ski is out of its depth and you need to keep the speed down to avoid any nasty surprises.
