Intro
When you know, you know. The Light DYN GW remains almost completely unchanged, only the liner and the mix of plastics have been updated. A successful hybrid that combines the touring features of the Zero G and the freeride instinct of the Cochise. A versatile four-buckle boot that can handle anything you throw at it, from big verticals to pure backcountry skiing. Unlike the Cochise, it's only available with a 99 mm last, for maximum precision.
Walking
As you would expect from an alpine-style boot, entry is not easy, though the fit is just right: snug, with just the right amount of volume where you need it. It wraps even narrow feet well. Walking is smooth and natural on the whole, but it could be even better with a different angle of incidence at the cuff. When the ankle is extended it pushes the foot forward. If so inclined, you can take on verticals of up to around 1,000 meters (around 3,000 feet). Perfect for skiers who are prepared to hike to find the perfect line or couloir.
Lab
Four micro-adjust buckles with Lift Lock that keeps them out of the way when hiking, putting them on or taking them off. Grilamid shell with specific areas for punching and molding; C.A.S. liner and tongue with dual-density micro cells to optimize the heat molding and bootfitting process. GripWalk sole with anti-slip rubber under the arch, and a sturdy quick-release power strap with hook (which easily comes undone if left loose). The ski/walk lever requires a lot of force to engage ski mode.
Skiing
In descent this boot comes into its own, it feels like an alpine boot. Precise lateral power transmission at every point in the turn from entry to rebound; this boot excels on hard snow and steep, challenging Alpine downhills. With its progressive forward flexion, it also assists and supports the calf when bending the knee or sitting back. Ideal with stiff, medium-width skis. A one-boot quiver for technical skiers who care more about being able to ski in all conditions than maximum performance. A pretty traditional boot, its only limitations are in freestyle situations, obstacles and dropping cliffs.
