Intro
Nordica's Enforcer line is synonymous with freeride. Over the years the range has evolved and modernized, to the extent that only the name and all-mountain flavor of the original project remain. Despite the new school shape, it remains loyal to Austro-Italian tradition and technical foundations, with a decidedly alpine bent. A double sheet of titanal wraps the wood/elastomer core for torsional rigidity and stability at speed—a flex that has always been popular with a broad section of good skiers.
On the snow
To the less observant, this may look like a freestyler's plaything. But in terms of technique and use, beneath the double rocker exterior hides a traditional, old school ski. The fairly narrow (for a freeride ski) width makes this the ideal companion for long winter days in resort in Alpine conditions – in other words little powder and lots of other kinds of snow. Do not even entertain the idea of mounting a tech binding, only a stiff set up will be able to cope with the kind of forces this ski is built for. Skinning uphill on these skis doesn't make a lot of sense, you're better off bootpacking up short approaches. This ski does brilliantly on hardpack, so much so that you can use it for piste and piste-side skiing as well as the occasional freeride outing. Suited to skiers of all ages, tourers moving into freeride, and those looking for a one-ski quiver that's not too wide.
