    Intro
New to Dynastar's more traditional touring range, this ski replaces the M-Tour 86 and comes in a version for women (the E-Tour 85). The available lengths and geometries have changed, but the new M-Tour in particular has been slimmed down by 200 grams in the longer lengths, a result of the Hybrid Core 2.0 construction with Paulownia wood and PU paired with a new basalt fiber. The tail rises early and gradually.

    On the snow
Very lightweight and responsive. This is a ski for people with good technique, because it calls for good, central posture throughout the turn, and it gives you an enjoyable ride. The edges bite intuitively, but make sure your weight is over your feet when you start the turn. It's a fun ski for tight turns, since that's what it's designed for. Its response is more difficult to predict at high speeds, though. We should also say that the size we tested (170) was a bit short for us, so we recommend a longer ski. You immediately note its light weight, but this doesn't significantly alter its handling on the descent, which is still enjoyable. This makes it a good candidate for long climbs on various terrains and snow types. This ski continues the brand's tradition in ski mountaineering, with a good combination of light weight and skiability, which intermediate to expert skiers will be able to take best advantage of.

    Lab
Slightly convex at the tip (which helps), flat elsewhere; no structure, not waxed. Good edges, 1.4 x 1.5 mm at 90°, base edge 1°. The sidewall is higher than the edges, a bit too much edge at tip and tail, needs tuning.
