    Intro
Unchanged for the 2023 version, beneath the topsheet it's construction features Paulownia wood with layers of carbon-fiber and fiberglass laminate. It weighs virtually the same, at around 800 grams, but the 153 cm length, for women and youth, is slightly lighter by 20 grams. Its name gives away its long-distance, Grande Course vocation, where its Mezzalama construction makes the difference for many people. By prioritizing control, on long descents at high altitudes it helps to minimize fatigue and closes the weight gap compared to competing ultralights.

    On the snow
It comes off as an easy, forgiving ski with a soft response right from the start. We understand that those of you fighting for the highest placings might be biased against its weight, but we find that the few extra grams can be beneficial for most skiers, who aren't as competitive and need technical handling on long, choppy descents in high-altitude racing. On challenging, irregular terrain or in dust on crust, it comes to the aid by absorbing vibration. But it wouldn't be fair to call it just an easy ski. It holds its position when put on an edge, keeps its line at speed, and gives the skier stability. With a few extra millimeters at the waist, the ski would give even better performance. A complete, versatile ski for a range of terrain types. And ski styles? It's good for fitness, for an athletic approach to the mountain, and for the occasional race.

    Lab
Nicely flat at the waist, concave at tip and tail. Worn structure, a bit ruined. No wax, good edges 1.5 x 1.9 mm at 90°, base edge 0.8°. One of the two edges needs tuning at the tip. Best to tune and wax before taking it out on the snow.
