Intro
Unchanged since last season, apart from one not insignificant detail—the binding mount has been set back from the forward position chosen in 2022–23. The 60 has a softer flex than the 70 and with the construction that was introduced two seasons ago it has become a very well-balanced ski, with a flex well distributed along its length that skiers who prefer a softer ski will appreciate. But that doesn't make it of little note. It's suitable for a range of abilities, while its predecessor demanded sensitive handling and a central stance.
On the snow
With the new mounting point brought back in line with the standard position, it has immediately become more intuitive, without the need to adapt to a forward mounted position like last year. It's excellent for off-piste races, where its solid base provides support and stability for confident handling, allowing you to conserve energy. It prefers tight turns, the wider and faster you go it tends to lose grip at the tail and skid (which makes things easier for most, but demanding skiers could be put off). It's nicely balanced when sliding downhill and in ascent, and particularly well-designed for kick turns and copying the terrain, letting the skins work well. So what are the negatives? Compared to some of its competitors, you can feel when the terrain gets dicey, but it's not a deal-breaker. What are the differences with the 70? A little less support, but for most athletes it's more than adequate.
Lab
Slightly concave at the tip and tail, the rest is flat, if slightly convex at points. Chevron structure, little wax. Edges fairly good, 1.5% x 1.1% mm at 89°, base edge 0.5–0.75°. Detuned at the tip and tail. You could take it straight out on the snow.
