    Intro
The New Titan system by Ski Trab is going all-in on lightweight simplicity, but each and every detail serves a purpose. At its heart is a contoured titanium wire spring that keeps the toe piece wings together. Compared to traditional toe pieces, the two wings have a certain amount of autonomy when under pressure in ski mode thanks to the elasticity of the spring, which prevents unwanted release and spreads the peak force generated by full-carbon race boots. The brake complies with ISMF regulations and is closed with a practical lock that doubles as a climbing aid.

    Fit
Entry with the front pins is very different to a traditional binding: you need to push down on the lever to open the pins, which aids entry with all types of insert. With some it even becomes a step in, but in general it's the most user-friendly race binding, something worth bearing in mind for speedy transitions. Same goes for the brake, which is a little heavier than some competitors, but brilliant in its simplicity. A flap clicks into place to retract the brake in walk mode if pushed down, and unlocks it when pushed back over the heel piece. Fantastic not only for elite athletes, but also mid-level racers looking for less intimidating options.
