    Intro
With the same geometry under a new coat of paint, this ski has earned new, lightweight carbon-fiber construction and a changed distribution. Other than that, it's the same ski we tested last year, with an ample bearing surface thanks to its low profile in the snow and that extra handful of millimeters in width at the waist compared to its competitors. Also available in a 150 length for women.

    On the snow
Little has changed, and its light weight and responsiveness are its dominant traits. The minimalist setup is something to be aware of. The lightweight construction and the twitchiness from the carbon-fiber laminate are particularly evident on hard terrain, where you need to be light on your feet, rather than taking an aggressive approach not suited to sudden changes in turn radius. That said, it gives a smooth ride and is a ski that can be enjoyed by a wide range of skiers. Its vocation is open, sweeping turns that get you down the mountain fast, so it's not a bad ski for the Sellaronda. It also holds its own on long, straight runs, given that it doesn't have the tail of a Ski Trab and calls for a more central stance. Its light tip helps in the deeper powder of the open mountain or in heavy snow, where the tips float without having to lean back. They also don't catch in the snow, which makes the transition fast and intuitive. Well-balanced and lightweight in switchbacks.

    Lab
Base nearly flat, although slightly convex at the tail and concave at the tip. No structure, decent wax and decent edges, 1.2 x 1.4 mm at 89.5%, base edge 1°. Passable finish, too much edge at tip and tail.
