New, even more water-resistant backing, which for skins destined to be used on modern fat skis is perhaps the most important feature in terms of weight saving and efficiency. The adhesive is a traditional non-hybrid hot glue. It’s really tacky, but in a well-measured quantity, meaning you won’t pull a muscle trying to rip skins in cold conditions. A thin, sensitive climbing skin that will be appreciated by demanding tourers. The plush feels like a fairly short-cut mohair that should afford great glide in most situations.
