Intro
Burton's patented Step On system ensures speedy entry and release with the corresponding boot. Based on the Spark R&D Tesla mounting system, it's quick and easy to use.
On the snow
Burton's established Step On technology has made it to the world of splitboarding. It's a real game changer in terms of boot/binding interface; easy to use and very lightweight and comfortable thanks to the soft rubber underfoot and lack of buckles. The negative lean hi-back is super practical on the uphill; it's balanced and stable when traversing and the sliding Spark R&D T1 baseplate make transitions a breeze. On the downhill it's robust and dependable, providing incredible power transmission and responsiveness. The only downside is the width of the toe ramp in walk mode; when the going gets steep or tight and you need to keep your stride narrow, you risk the two coming into contact. We think this is a great choice for riders looking for a practical, efficient system, suitable for beginners and intermediates who want quicker transitions so they're always the first to lay down tracks.
