Intro
Designed for expert riders looking for a light yet responsive binding, the Feyan Carbon epitomizes performance-focused tech.
On the snow
Minimalism is the order of the day here. Every last superfluous feature has been stripped away in the search for maximum efficiency in a binding that from the very first glance exudes incredible performance. It uses the classic Plum lever system, love it or hate it. One thing we can all agree on, however, is that once you get past the fiddly mechanism, it's efficient and durable. The asymmetrical carbon highback is nice and solid in ascent, especially on traverses as there's no excessive torsion, which aids edge hold so you don't have to get out the crampons until the going gets really steep. The transition from walk to ride is pretty quick and in descent its overall stiffness really helps maintain control on steep terrain, though it's less playful on soft snow and not really suited to freestyling. For that you might want to consider its plastic sibling, the Eterlou. This is a binding for expert riders.
