Intro
Stainless steel, robust nylon, T6-tempered rails and that classic Voile flair make this tried-and-tested binding the jewel in the crown of the Utah-based brand.
On the snow
It's been a few years since Voile launched this model and if it hasn't been updated and continues to be popular, it's because it works very well. Not the easiest to mount, but once its correctly set up and you've got the hang of the mechanisms, you cannot but admire the solidity and robustness of a product built to last, and perform, over time. The binding interface, which is flipped around compared to the competition, reduces wear on the components and the lever is nice and solid, for maximum safety. Power transmission is speedy and precise, and transitions are quick and easy. The integrated heel lock comes in very handy, so you can lock the binding for short downhill sections with the board split and skins on. In descent the system works well both on soft snow and in sketchy conditions. Not the newest binding, but it more than holds up.
