Intro
Burton's only splitboard boot: excellent construction down to the last detail. Very slender and lightweight compared to other boots destined for the skin track.
On the snow
The dual BOA fit system, together with the corset-style closure, works very well and wraps the foot precisely, including the ankle bones. The overall sensation is of excellent fit, very similar to a piste boot. There's a nice amount of rear mobility in the gusset, though nothing excessive. The liner is very light, comfortable and well insulated. Not compatible with crampons. The only mystery is whether it will hold up over time with metal splitboard bindings, given the minimalist materials and finish.
