Intro
The traditional Hovercraft shape but now with an ultralight core: below we reveal the new features of the Ultralight Hovercraft 2.0. The design is characterized by an accentuated directional shape and long sidecut, which deliver performance aims. After 14 seasons, the Hovercraft series was completely redesigned in 2023, building on its performance legacy but setting new standards for eco-conscious board construction. This is a central mission for Jeremy and the brand.
On the snow
The company claims it is one of the lightest, most technical and high-performance boards on the face of the planet, and there is certainly some truth to that. Widely praised for its lightness and maneuverability, on both the hike up and ride down, it’s one of the best performing products in the expert freerider segment. The sensations of balance are excellent, with just the right blend of rigidity in the center and flexibility, especially on the nose, making this board fast entering turns and nimble edge to edge. Curve set requires speed and a wide radius, characteristics that exemplify the big mountain soul of this board, which requires skill to dominate, and those with less-than-perfect technique might struggle. The Karakoram Ultra Clip 2.0 clip connecting system makes it perfect for even the most complicated of setup changes. This is a top product for top riders, and not suitable for beginners, hesitant boarders or those who prefer lower cruising speeds.
