The stand-out feature is that to assemble it, you just remove the rubber fasteners, toss it like a probe, and it locks instantly into place. The mechanism works well, though its weight-saving design can feel a bit flimsy under heavy load. When closed it measures just 39 cm and comes with two baskets: the winter one is quite stiff, which tends to stop the tip gripping in hard, icy snow. Round-section grip with 30 cm extension zone, minimalist wrist strap webbing but with neoprene padding. Practical and effective adjustment via an aluminum clamp.
