Intro

Judging by the baskets supplied, the focus is to use these poles for freeride, but we think the diameter, weight and balance make them a great option also for light touring. And the 40 cm round foam grip would make them great for any mountain activities. However, the plastic used in the semi-round head that sits above the strap—which should let the inverted pole spear easily into the snowpack for setting freeride anchors—seems too thin and fragile to us. The rather large wrist straps also tend to hinder snow penetration: better to remove them for freeride use, as, in fact, many skiers do.
