Intro

We aren't big supporters of three-piece poles, but they do make sense if hit a cliff on skis and want to put them in your pack or for all-season use. Bernina is Leki's answer to these needs and features a nice rubber and cork grip with grooved, elongated grip zone. To reduce weight, the locking mechanism is plastic and has a grooved wheel to adjust the tension. The wrist strap is thick and comfortable. The basket is nice, with two asymmetrical sides for counter slopes and for cleaning bindings and skins. Section diameters are 16, 14 and 12 mm.
