Intro

This pole is all about technique and functionality, not looking cool. This pole is here to shake things up. It sports an 18-millimeter aluminum shaft with a very long one-piece, EVA-foam elongated grip with ergonomic ridges, paired with a simple cord for a wrist strap with a safety mechanism that releases when pulled up, and stays put when pulled down. We'll need to see how the plastic piece that attaches it to the handle holds up over time and under changes in temperature. The basket shifts from asymmetrical (for the ascent) to symmetrical (for the descent). For purists and steep freaks who like a bit of anarchy
