The best women's boots of 2024

    Increasingly high-performing

The fact that women’s boots employ statistically softer plastic (and thus feel) compared to men’s boots is undeniable. Women’s boots are lighter, so require less effort and weight to deform them correctly when driving the boot. What’s more debatable, though, is whether women’s boots can offer the same level of performance as men’s. Because it’s now beyond dispute that there are women skiers who ski better and push much harder than the average level.

    Boot of the year

    Scarpa Gea RS

The first prototypes didn’t completely convince us because of their minimal volumes. But after a year of improvements and updates we could finally appreciate the quality of the all-new Scarpa Gea RS to the full, which is comparable to the men’s Maestrale RS. The base design is very similar to the 4-Quattro XT, but it feels completely different. A boot that will appeal across the entire market.

    Pro's choice

Tecnica Cochise 115 W DYN GW

What defines an expert woman skier? After careful analysis we’ve concluded that its women who like charging on the downhill, and perhaps skiing super-steep lines, and dropping large cliffs while pulling an FWT trick. The Tecnica Cochise 115 W Dyn GW won our vote for the perfect boot for this category of athlete. A word of caution: somewhat awkward to use when skinning.

    People's choice

    Scarpa F1 GT W

A renowned classic, which also this year requires no introduction: The Scarpa F1 GT W gets our vote once again for this award. Meaning that in terms of quality in the Lightweight segment, no other producer has been able to come up with a product that matches the characteristics of this multi-award-winning two-buckle boot. Precise, lightweight, outstanding performance. What more could you ask for?

    Smart choice

    Dynafit Radical Pro W

When those hundred extra grams don’t make much difference it’s time to focus the spotlight on a product that’s been sidelined for a long time now because of its cross-category weight: The Radical Pro W is the go-anywhere boot for any woman: a one-quiver workhorse that will take you to the top of the world and never let you down—not least because it comes with a lifetime guarantee.
