Light bindings

When the ski stopper becomes standard.

Share

Light, streamlined, yet also safe. The evolution in the Light segment is heading in this direction.

The archetype of the Light concept is the ATK Haute Route (now available in a Plus version). They’re lightweight, but above all no frills, and feature ski brakes as standard. Step in, step out, flip the heel riser when needed, skin back up (again and again...), and push your Light planks to the max. All operations are swift and super intuitive to execute.  However, the range is bigger than ever and includes ski brakes as standard, sometimes with one-touch features à la skimo racing. Select a full-optional model, opt for a crossover version with features for other usage cases, or pick a super-essential model. Sometimes though, too much choice can be confusing…

Ski poles: they’re in control

They’re an excellent investment. The least expensive piece of kit, but one that has an outsized influence on technique, both on the way up, and especially on the way down

Safety, you’d better go prepared

Avalanches make no distinction between experts and beginners, and when something happens, what matters is clarity of mind, the ability to communicate, and the ability to act quickly as a team
