A native of Ortisei, he found mountain sports to be the perfect outlet for his competitive spirit and love of exploration. Though he began cross-country skiing, his first love is now ski mountaineering, as it has let – and still lets him – reach places others can’t... And skyrunning? In the summer, once the snow’s melted, it’s the best training there is. Plus the views are always stunning. This year, teamed with Boffelli, he finished fourth in the Mezzalama, second in the Sellaronda, again with Boffelli, and first in the Mountain Attack - Tour.
