Our collaboration with XL Mountain is a true partnership. As we’ve been developing and growing our product testing over the years, Danilo—who owns the shop XL Mountain together with his wife Erica—has played a key role in sharing his expertise during the process. We’re not just talking about the meticulous measuring and preparation of materials which is one of the hallmarks of our work together (although you’d be hard-pushed to find anyone as good as him at this). It’s the hours upon hours of dialogue and discussion about the vision and strategy of this project. It’s also why, if you decide to buy your ski gear from XL Mountain, you’ll feel right at home. Danilo tries out all the equipment he sells; if it doesn’t make the grade, it doesn’t go on the shelves or the rack. We recommend you make an appointment before you go, to make sure you have a chance to talk to him and make the most of his expertise and advice. And make sure you study the Buyer’s Guide carefully beforehand, too.
We’re confident you’ll come away satisfied, because Danilo always put the buyer first, not the seller, even if that means taking a loss financially. And that’s without even mentioning the first-rate workshop and area dedicated to boot fitting, insoles and boot customization.
